Windows users: about the SmartScreen warning

Some Windows users may see a SmartScreen “Windows protected your PC” warning when first running the installer. This is normal for newly-signed software — Windows builds trust in publisher signatures over the first few weeks of legitimate downloads.

Click More info → Run anyway to proceed. The publisher should show as SureMatters Ltd; if it shows anything else, please email security@surematters.com immediately.

Verifying your download

Procurement reviewers and the IT-cautious can verify the file’s SHA-256 hash matches the value published here. Run the command on the downloaded file and check the output character-for-character against the value in the relevant card above.
